Introduction
From September 2002 through May 2004, I worked
as a graduate research assistant on the Metamedia
research team at MIT. Metamedia is a online learning application that
allows teachers and students to upload, share, organize and annotate media
materials. During my two year stint, my primary role was as the visual
and interaction designer for the Metamedia framework. This was a rewarding
project for me because it allowed me to take part in the early conceptualization
and design, several iterations and finally, implementation.
The following essay outlines how the Metamedia
framework interface has evolved during my time at Metamedia. Use the timeline
above to navigate through the different Metamedia interfaces. For a full,
unmediated documentation of my work at Metamedia, go to the Development
site.
